Fairhaven is held in a small unincorporated community in eastern Israel Township, Preble County, Ohio, it lies along State Route 177 & around David Goods home.   Fairhaven was laid out and platted  in 1832.   Fairhaven is a commendatory name for the scenic location of the original town site.    A post office was established at Fairhaven in 1833, and remained in operation until 1932.

Fairhaven Antiques Festival started around 1975 with the Fairhaven Antiques Festival Association  & continued til 2011  and held the first week of June.    The FAFA started out with John Auraden (1936 - 2003), Clark Garrett (1927-1987), Harriet Schmitt (1923 - 2015)  & later David Good that still lives in the home above where the show will be taking place & across the street which he also owns.  .   By popular demand,   Bovard Promotions, LLC.,  has decided to revive the show after being closed for 9 years.
